Lyme Regis is a very interesting stop, there is the Jurrasic Coast not too far away if you are into your fossils. As for Lyme itself plenty to see and do (If you can find a parking spot that is!) , apart from the town and of course the sea there is a great deal of history. The Cobb, the curved stone harbour wall is of course famous for it's use as a film setting in "The French Lieutenant's Woman" and as part of Jane Austin's Persuation. Glad you brought the last one up Vince - it is a very important part of my itinerary for tomorrow. Who could go to DORSET and not go and see where Graham takes all his fantastic photos. Not me, I have to go and look see. I will post my intinerary for later this evening because it will be hectic and I'll need to get a really early start.lol |
