Now I think it should be over to those of you who live in the counties with lots of insider knowledge to create tours for your county. For instance:- Ron (or Poe) how about one for Oxford; Paul you are very good at it how about Berkshire or Buckinghamshire; Vince you also are great at it but I have stolen your local county already, and I see we have covered most of the Counties you have pictures for - so perhaps you could try some pastures new - say Essex of Middlesex? Mike or James how about Lancashire Shaun you could tackle Cheshire Peggy you really should do Suffolk and Norfolk as so many wonderful photos for those areas have been taken by you Stephanie (are you out there??) or Jason how about covering the West Midlands or Worcestershire or Staffordshire Roy you must know Cumbria like the back of your hand - how about it? Who will/can offer to cover other Counties that they know well and would make up a Whistle Stop Tour???? BTW The hardest part is trying not to add too many photos, lol I look forward to seeing a really long list of people willing to create and add A Whistle Stop Tour and hopefully we can cover all the Counties of England in a short space of time. I think it would be a good idea if we all used the same style heading "English Counties - (name of county) - A Whistle Stop Tour" and make sure it is in the Picture Chat Forum when you start the Thread. |

When you make your tours please add where the photos were taken (village/town/attraction) and any information you may have about it - i.e. 17th Century, oldest, fun for the whole family, etc. etc. The more information the better the tour. |

Thank you so much Peggy & Vince - now who's next???? lol |

Then plan your tour along a road route starting at 'A' that will take you past the various towns of interest and attractions you think worth visiting, keep following your roads around the county in some sort of logical sequence so the tour 'flows' along a route, ending at "B". Check the towns for descriptions of what is available there and the attractions should have descriptions as well. Check that there are suitable photographs to add to the tour (if they are not your own). Add your photos to your tour as you follow your route from A to B putting in brief description - such as "14th Century Castle, holding medieval games in August of each year "- for example. Have fun while putting your tour together and choosing what you will include. Last hint - think like a visitor! lol |

Could anyone else offer to do a County Whistle Stop Tour?? Its easier when you know something about the towns/attractions/history. |
