Please feel free to add any information, suggestions, recommendations, or photos to this thread. The more information on what is available for the visitor, the better the tour possibilities become. Thanks for accompanying me on the tour, I hope you all enjoyed it To end the day - A calm trip up the River Avon Picture by T Shiva

This village was surrounding areas were used for the setting of R D Blackmore's Lorna Doone (and the area is sometimes referred to as Doone Valley). Unfortunately we have no pictures of the cottages or church only a bridge over the River Lyn. (Anyone on POE want to rectify that missing link?) Picture by Barry Crowley |

Lots of lovely photos of the cottages in this village and it was hard to choose which one/s I should add here Picture by Graham Rains Picture by Graham Rains |

I cannot have covered all the gorgeous places to be found in Somerset. Maybe the holiday weekends have meant you have all been too busy. So in case you missed the tour - I am bumping it up again in the hopes of seeing lots of lovely pics and information and suggestions added. |
