Next stop MILTON KEYNES, an unusual town in that it was only created in 1967 and has been the home of the Open University since 1971.  In the town is the 15th Century Nag's Head Pub and Milton Keynes Museum is housed in alovely old Victorian farmhouse.  The Grand Union Canal passes through Milton Keynes as well.  Lots of modern architecture to be seen.

A visit to BLETCHLEY PARK would be of interest as it was used by military intelligence during WW2 as a centre for breaking codes, there is a recreation of the 1940's computer. (Huge!!)

LEIGHTON BUZZARD (another interesting name!!), desribed as an historic market town (but no further description and only 5 pics, 2 of which are of the park).  Nearby attractions include Stockgrove Country Park and Ascott House, a 17th Century timber-framed, black & white farmhouse (no pics)

At WENDOVER we can see many black and white timbered and thatched houses, the pre-1600 Red Lion Inn and the 17th Century Bosworth House in the High Street

Another fascinating place name GREAT MISSENDEN which I would really like to have had a closer look at - but couldn't find any pics.  The Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre can be found in Great Missenden. And so on to CHESHAM, another historic market town in the Chess Valley along the Chiltern Hills.  Chenies Manor House, built circa 1640 is close by (no pics!).

In the valley of the River Misbourne we will find the historic market town of AMERSHAM, with its Market Hall built in 1683, the Elizabethan timber framed Kings Arms, the Swanm Inn dating from 1671 and the Crown Hotel featured in the film 4 weddings and a funeral.
