I just posted a picture of Lorraine's in the Never Mind the Weather thread, and it's of Haydon Bridge, Northumberland in winter.  In the distance are the sheep in the field.  One of my fond memories in driving around in England is the sheep in the fields, especially up north.  You can see them from so far away that they look like little white dots in the fields.  I told my husband if we ever get a pet sheep, we'll name her Dot.  lol We've had some great sheep shots on the site.  Post some of your favorites.

How about this one. It reminds me of a famous painting, but I can't remember it's name.

I'd forgotten about your sheep tour, so thanks for the link, Cathy, so others can find sheep shots.  I'd always gotten a kick out of this one.

These are all so sweet! :-)

Sue, the one you posted always makes me think of a religious painting. It's like a metaphor for the lost sheep waiting for the Good Shepherd. I love it!

Ruth, the one of the ram in the gate made me think of ancient Jerusalem and the Temple.

I need to find the painting this reminds me of. I'm sure it's a famous one.
