Well here we are at the end of yet another successful year for POE

So it seems quite an opportune moment to thank all of you who have made so many encouraging comments to my images, a lot of which I find quite humbling.

And to those who have taken an interest in the inane ramblings of the Lakeland Meanderer again I thank you. It has all been fun, both taking the pictures, which by and large this year, I have been amazed with what I have managed to salvage due to the weather, and also taking the time to carry on with my scribblings from the Ambleside and surrounding fells and Lakes. The comments to the images only make me want to get out and take more photos for your pleasure. I am already making plans for next year which hopefully will include some places other than the Lake District although that will certainly feature somewhere along the line

So once again thank you all, it really is appreciated and makes going out in all weathers all the more worthwhile

Happy New Year to all and to those who go out with cameras lets hope for a better year so that we can take even better photos to keep POE going

I'll drink to that, Re comments as I have said before " Credit where credit is due". The Pics that you have put on Dave are always of a superb standard and of great subjects, you once said that Ron and co have always authorised each and every pics submitted, says a lot in it's self ( afraid I cannot make that claim ).

Drink is raised and keep up the brilliant work.

Thanks guys, much appreciated as I have always said. Unfortunately James can't have a drink due to antibiotics......pretty strong ones too. But I will raise a mug of coffee to all at POE

Just sorting a few more as there is absolutely nothing I want to watch on the TV

Look on the bright side though , in the world of POE we can forget all the hassle we live in and spend time with like minded folk AND see some fantastic photographs at the same time.
