Hi,

I have taken an image and am not sure the best crop.  Any help or comments on this would be much appresiated . http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o72/bargiepat/Cropquestion_zps27fc0884.jpg

I will of course put this image on POE.

Regards, Patrick.

Hi Patrick

I've looked at your pictures and personally I prefer the first one, the full image with no crop. I think the trees at either side and the branches in the foreground provide a nice frame for the water without any cropping.

Just my opinion, others may differ Smile

All 3 images are good but crop 1just takes it for me I think Patrick, but maybe just a bit more of the branches in the foreground, and as Ruth says, just my opinion but it is our varied opinions that you are after, and we all see images in a slightly different way.

I think image will look the best with crop , but not as big like on Crop 1.

6038 x 3954 px   , maybe ?

Hi Patrick,

My preference is for either the full size image (with the more-or-less continuous line of branches making a border across the bottom of the frame) or Crop 2 (where the branches are cropped out altogether).

I think Crop 1 is least desirable with the branches partially cropped out, leaving a rather ugly jumble in the centre of the lower part of the frame. But that's just my opinion.

Hi All,

Many thanks for giving me your fellings on this image..........  I have uploaded what I think is the best crop which is based on crop 1 but showing more of the fallen tree.

I have uploaded to photobucket the crop leaving the fallen tree out. With this I have pulled the sides of the image in. This crop allows more focus on the sunlite tree in the center but I think the fully framed image that I have put on POE is marginally better. Here is the link to the non tree crop............. http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o72/bargiepat/fullcrop_zps7f9e30d3.jpg
