Rang them first and had a good long chat with someone who came across very professional and knowledgable and more to the point keen. The prices were excellent and the lenses actually arrived ...the next day!!! ... seriously well packed and secure. And they also do, I think, offer a 14 day (maybe more) no quibble return policy. But you also mention Wilkinsons, well you know also that I champion them also and at least they have shops close enough for you to visit. If the shop of your choice does not have what you want they will offer to get one from another shop within a few days so well worth ringing them also Edited by: Dave John at:21st May 2015 21:15 |

Just looking at their site, came across their 16mm F2 lens, manual focus, contacts for camera metering, and takes 77mm filters. an alternative of theirs is the 14mm F2.8 which again, has contacts for metering, manual focus, but won't take filters. This one should be around the £300 mark. Prices for the 16mm one seem to vary a lot for some reason. Whilst looking for image samples from the above, I got side tracked by a group using the Samyang 12mm F2 designed for mirrorless cameras. Some of their photographers pics were amazing. Just thought I'd mention this alternate make.

It's just a cost issue with the lens. The 14 day no quibble returns policy sounds like a company that are confident in the products they are selling which is nice to see. Paul - Thanks for the info about the Samyang lenses, I shall have a look at them. |

I still have a Polaroid with film in it. No option for wide angle, ultra wide angle lens there, just point and press! |
