We going in may to the new forest for a few days.

On tuesday, we want to visit Tyneham Village.

I see on the next site a few days you can visit the village, but only in the weekend.

Can we not visit the village on tuesday, or are this special days on the list?

I appreciate the confidence you have in me Lyn, but I can't really help this time either!

But Lucsa, if you type 'Lyneham' into the search bar to the top left on the POE homepage, it will be of interest to you I feel sure.

I have send a mail to the site of Isle of Purbeck and got this answer.

if i read this good, we can not visit this village on a tuesday in may.

 "

Hi,
Sorry for delay, but open until Sun 30 March, then closed until Sat 12 April, Sun 13 April.
The general rule of thumb is open Saturdays and Sundays until 26 July when it is open all week for the summer.
regards, isleofpurbeck.com

lucsa,

we were down there a couple years ago.  througly enjoyed it!  when we were there it was posted that we could only go on the week-end, as they have live fire during the week...training.

don't forget to go to Corfe Castle!  and Portland Bill Lighthouse if you have the time!  well worth the visit!

enjoy!

Is there no way to change your travel plans? This seems like something you really want to do, it would be a shame to miss out on it.

But of course the Isle will be there another year, so another visit.
