Hi Debbie.

New Forest is so close to my place where I'm live in.I've been there two times but not to long to say as much as you wish. But you are right, this is like a reserve but open. All animals are walking around you which is great. There is a lot's of pony, donkey, birds and many more.I think the best time to go there is a spring, after everything is geting green.I would say yes, this is worth to see. That is my opinion.Wink

Debbie,

The New Forest is a lovely place, I live about 20 miles away and don't get down there as much as I'd like. A bit of info and history on the area:

Thanks for the tip nyyank.

I look in the local library for the dutch version of that book.

I just check the site of the library, i find a few books of Edward Rutherfurd, but not 'The Forest'.Cry

Lucsa, Keep looking, great read, but you may have to be aquainted with rutherfurds style of writing, almost like a written documentary, following centurys of families and interwoven stories and plots.Big old tome to be sure, but all his stuff is worthwhile.
