I had not visited the UK for about 20 years but will be heading "over the pond" on November 27th to visit an old friend.  He & I joined the Toronto Police Force on the same day in December, 1971 & remained good friends since that day.  He returned to England after 35 years in Canada & I returned to beautiful Nova Scotia.  Unfortunately he has been diagnosed with a terminal illness so I have decided to visit him in West Yorkshire and be a part of his "surprise" 60th birthday celebration.  I thoroughly enjoyed my previous visits to Yorkshie & can't figure out for the life of me why it has taken about 20 years to get back again.  I came across this great site while doing a little research for my visit and have enjoyed the pictures of the towns & historical sites which I visited in the past.  Hopefully, I can get some good early winter scenes and share them with other members.

Cheers,

Hugh

Hello Hugh

Welcome to POE! Sorry your visit is for reasons that you would rather not have to endure, but enjoy your trip if you can. We look forward to your input.

Hi Hugh, yes I live in Yorkshire, Gods' own county. If I can help in any way, I most certainly will do my best.
