I've been to England once, falling irrevocably in love with the country of my ancestry. Although I love Texas, too, I hope to live in England eventually. I've been spending a lot of time at this site, immersing myself in the photos in order to bring more depth and texture to my writing.

My surname is an English one, but I haven't researched my family history yet. It may be difficult because my grandfather was sent on an orphan train from New York City to Texas when he was a small child; later the orphanage where he had lived burned and the records which had been stored there were destroyed. Thank you for asking about my book. It's turning out to be a romantic tragedy, but not a typical one. If mine isn't well-written I'm not going to try to publish it. There are already too many mediocre books floating around out there and, although I have no aspirations of greatness, I certainly don't want to make a poor contirbution to literature. I've sent the beginning of it to three friends for honest opinions and they all told me to keep writing... so I'm still writing! We'll see how it goes... Thank you again for asking! |
