The Angle of the North is just 10 minutes walk away to the north of my home. I retired early some 10years ago and spend a great deal of my time in my garden. To relax my wife and I often drive over to the Lake District where we have stayed many times for our holidays. We are really in love with that area. I think that our photographs will prove that. I think that my favourate area is that surrounding Ullswater, but Grasmere and Derentwater come very close. I like Windermere but it is very crowded and commercial now. |

I tend to take numerous pictures in the same area, hoping that at least a few are ok. That is the beauty of digital pictures. My wife Lilian who has also submitted pictures to the site, is far more careful. She take a lot of time before she takes a picture, that way she fewer pictures but gets beter results. I have a many pictures on film that i am starting to scanvinto the computer. Its a long winded job mind. |
