A man and his van - Andy’s the name He drives for a living, we know his game He ends up giving his product away He has to allay, the fact that we may Want more than its worth so we can say no Hate the colour, the shape, the day - now go We tell him just where he can stick the new chair His business will fail and we really don’t care Assured of our challenge in Small Claims Court only To defend the claim where he will be lonely The Court day arrives he smells a bit whiffy Says I'm changing my pants, I’ll be back in a jiffy Could be he fears the Judge and the sneers From people who know just where he will go If he loses this case he could get some time To pay the Court costs now judgement is nigh The Registrar says it is only a small claim Draw the line, settle, this is insane He drive’s to South Cave where Debbie is high On guzzled Champagne that she has just bought Expecting success over what he has fought But he lost the claim and is all of a quiver He’s still got the chair and is all of a dither The Court Claim lost was the third in a row Hard luck Andy see if we care, or mind, no In future deliver your goods with a banner And stop taking the P*** out of my dear Anna Now, he’s in the office settled down for a snack Debbie fell over and lands on her back His sandwich is gone, it was the best Brie It’s under his Debbie and her only knee Wedged firmly between the bath and the door Wish I hadn’t started this, goes on for evermore Ah! At last where would we be without POE’tree

He has just called me to show me what you said and the answer is yes I do think that sometimes it would be good to just shut him up but he just has a way with words. Sometimes I could really urrrgh strangle him. He winds everybody up and then sits back laughing at what he considers a success but don't misunderstand me, I love him dearly. He really is a wonderful person but unfortunately even after 42 years is difficult to restrain. |
