Welcome Patrick. The beauty of this site is that you will get to see beautiful and interesting  places through someone else's eyes.  Even  people who live here  will never  see most of our fantastic countryside and coastline.

Hi Patrick

I see your in Cumbria, nice places you visited, I live in the south of the county, in Millom.  Maybe you will come and visit the area.  There's more to Cumbria than the Lakes.  We had a famous poet lived in Millom, he was called Norman Nicholson.  He produced quite a few books in his time.

Thanks Lynn & Ruth---quite difficult to find a resonable picture of myself  as I tend to avoid the camera if I can!!

I notice Karen has given up driving (on her avatar)

I know the feeling, Lorraine.  Karen, your little pup is so cute!

How you doin, Yasser?  How hot was it today over there?  It was 109°/43° C here today.  Your new avatar picture is precious.
