You weren't thinking of  "England Swings" by Roger Miller, Peter? He might have given them the wrong idea too, back in the '60s.

Oh England swings like an pendulm do..bobbies on bycycles two by two...yes I remeber that song. Has an happy kind of "merry" tune to it. I forgot to tell you that my hubby and I have been in the Boy Scouts for well over 20 years now as my son went from the first stage in it to an "Eagle" Scout...and beleive we do plenty of cookin at times. I have no idea how old you are but we have had some 148 kids over the years here at our house. I think everyone knows me by now as "mom". That's what got me about this heart problem in that I walk about 5 miles an week if not more to stay trained for the hikes. Had to give that up but still enjoy the other parts of it all. Maybe in time I might be able to do some of them, if they aren't to far. Now my grandson is into it. Itwill make generation number three...and rarity for over here these days.

Hi Shirley, The photos are nice, but much better to see the views for real. Some of the sights are spactacular. Photos just give you a good idea what it looks like, now come and see the real thing.
The pictures got me so inspired that today I went out and bought flowers for my flower beds and finished planting half of them and will do the other half tomarrow. I would LOVE to beable to travel again, say I got "Gemini" wings and tootsie toes when it come to going places. Say, how deep are those moats over there around the buildings anyway?

Hum.Smile

It is now evening for me Shirley and I am a bit late on line today. Let me give you a welcome from a Pommie Oz, I have been in Australia for 41 years but a part of me still lies in England. Have a good time on the threads, you could not be with a nicer bunch of loonies.

Ah, an "aussie" I've had so many wonder chats with those "down under"  and some wonderful books I've read and TV shows I've seen as well.. Your wolf looks so nice, I use to have an part Grey Wolf, my God, did I love that dog!!!  They really are very "family" orientated animals, the neighbors down the street use to raise them and they had them in dog sled competions up in Alaska. No, you can't quite "flop" all over them like the grandkids have with our Labadors since they were puppies, wolves demand an respect, but they are very loving...for my "charlie dog"...yip yip yahooooo! A great big "hug" around the furry old neck...I miss your protecting me. Nice to meet you also "Wolf"!

I tried wolf, didn't get to far on it  though, I brought up an subject there's already another thread for. The agony of it all! Since I came in here the first time and registered, I've planted five raspberry bushes, two gooseberry bushes, four sweet ptotatoes, 7 red petunias, one hydrenga, (we called them snowball bushes growing up), three yellow mums, four blue spiky flowers, and an orange potintella, five purple flowers, two new pink speckled geraniums, two lavender and two pink impatients, and an yellow flowering pot, two colueus, plus weeded the beds, and planted one walnut tree. It looks gorgeous out there. I did the fertilizer today and tomarrow I have a bit more weeding to do. I came across most this stuff on clearance for 50 cents to 1.00 and I went "wild" on it. So talk away for me, while I get this done. I finished it all off with an "spaghetti" dinner tonight and everyone looks statisfied in my house.
