Hi Ray - when we go to Cornwall we stay near St Buryan just round the corner from Porthcurno. I love that area because it is so wild and unspoilt. Marizion is just as I remember it as a child and the gardens around Cornwall are beautiful such as Trebah and Glendurgan. I love being near the sea which is funny as I live in the West Mids!

Hi Stephanie,

I am ashamed to say....I do not know those two places at all. I think it is a truism that when you live in a place, you do not know it as well as your average tourist. I have been to Marizion though!

Ray.

Hi Ray - I have some shots of Porthcurno in my pictures if you get chance to look. It's overlooked by the Minack Theatre so you probably do know it. I haven't got any of St Buryan in there but we stay a mile away at Sparnon. It's lovely down there. The two gardens I mentioned are near Falmouth. I didn't know you lived in Cornwall!

I used to Stephanie, I went to School in both Devonport, and Bodmin. I left years ago but still have friends and relations there so I visit at infrequent intervals.

I will have  look at your photographs too, thank you for the information on Porthcumo.

Regards, Ray.

I used to stay near Bodmin on holiday with my parents and we used to visit Marizion as my father's friend moved there from Smethwick. It is a lovely part of the country Ray. A nice place to grow up!

Best wishes, Stephanie.

Stephanie,

Dr Denzil would not say Bodmin was a good place to grow up. 'They sleep with horses there' says he!
