But I've seen a lot of palm trees in pics here and also in S. Ireland. I'm guessing cacti are grown indoors there - they'd never survive the rainfall outside. My dad had a prickly pear planted among his hedges in his front yard in Pennsylvania, but it only lasted about 5 years. I have 2 saguaros in my front yard.

To be absolutely fair, it might even have been me! |
