It would be interesting to know about proud moments that stick in your mind and why?

Besides the obvious ones of getting married, having my boys, starting my own business I would say

Getting a place at Bournville School of Art - I still remember the date I got the acceptance letter 1 May, 1981! It was hard to get in as it had such high standards and I didn't really think I would be good enough.

When Joseph my eldest son got a standing ovation for a wonderful performance as Caliban in the Tempest - he was always so quiet and shy before and suddenly his amazing character shone through.

I've had many proud moments in my life, many small achievements and some big one too. However, generally speaking, have to say that I feel proud everytime I can be myself regardless of any kind of pressure and when I'm in control of the situations.

I have a few that come to mind. The biggest was when Elsie was born. She was the cutest baby and ready to take on the world. Another is when my dad told me he was proud of me. I had waited a long time to hear that as it has happened in the past year. The other is when my brother told me I was an angel. That touched my heart very deeply.

Actually just one more. When I went to school to become a medical assistant I graduated with a 93 average! Guess I am smarter than I give myself credit for!
