Hi Wanda. Welcome to POE and the forums.

Exif info only gets saved with digital photos. Film cameras cant imprint exif files.  But if you have the original negatives, they usualy have the date on the edge of the film strip. This can help with your proof of ownership if needed. With digital photos the exif info will not be downloaded if you download photos off this site. So you still have the exif info proof that you took the photo. Hope this is a bit clearer than mud. lol. Downloaded photos off the web are pretty useless for any serious use, because the quality is not very good.

Anyway, I hope to see you on the forums soon and joining in with the chat and banter. Dont worry, we may be mad but we are one big happy family.

I think you'll find the situation in the US is different to over here in the UK regarding copywrite on photos. Over there,I don't think it is automatically copywrited and also needs the copywrite symbol, name, and year as well.

And may I welcome you too, Wanda and hope you enjoy PoE.

Though good enough for my local council to find my photos on the web and twice---that I know of---used them to decorate their own website with. I think asking first and also crediting me with my own photos would have been a nice gesture, rather than just helping themselves, instead of taking their own photos of our region.

Hi Wanda. I'm not too worried really. Can't see what anyone would use mine for and it's not my job or anything. Nice to meet you.
