Starting my own businees has been very scary, with all the turmoil here in the states, yet,"you have to do what you have to do ".I am just a bit nervous.

Has anyone of you been in my shoes?

Group hug for Rick  .

Starting a new job is scary enough, but a new business, that must be way more scary.

They say the first year can be really rough, so I'd say tough it out and work your way over the bumps. Tighten the belt, as it can also be a financial strain.

I hope things go well for you.

We're here for you, your own personal cheering section.

My lad runs his own online business Rick, the link to it is in my profile,  and my husbands got his own as well, but at the moment he's working for a large company in a Managerial role so thats been put on hold for a while. It just takes time to get the contacts, it's true what they say. you don't start to make any money for at least 2 years.Good luck with your venture!! ((((((((((((((((hugzzzz)))))))))))))

I have Rick. I started my 1st business in 1983. I did bookkeeping and accountancy prep work until I went employed in 1985. I always hated being employed after and I started my current business in 1992 but I'm now an accountant. It is the best thing I ever did! It is hard at the moment because things are bad here too and we've lost alot of work as people are going out of business. The support of my business partner helps but I'm lucky - partnerships don't always work but we have worked together for 23 years!

What are you doing in your business Rick? If I can help with any advice let me know - you can always e-mail. I know the rules are different between countries but I'll do my best!

Here's the hug - you will love working for yourself  I'm sure! ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((Rick))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

I had my own business for 10 years before the job i'm doing now Rick, very hard work, had very good times and very bad times, on the whole i'm glad i done it now. But i'm glad i sold up now too!!

Its great working for yourslelf, not having anyone but yourself to answer too, its good making your own money, and really feels worth it when you do a good job, having said that, i'm lucky, I'm kind of my own boss at work still, as when i'm on the road, you have to make your own descisions.

What sort of work are you doing? its going to be so different working where you are, than over here. But my advice would be just stick it out, work as hard as you can, have a bit of positive thinking, and pray you done your homework right!!  i'm sure you have, so good luck.Laughing
