Dont get me wrong I love kansas and its people but I do miss hills ! Sometime last summer I found myself quite unexpectedly head over heels in love with a grand lass I met on the internet . As part of our courtship i found that I wanted to share as much of my life in Yorkshire with my girl as I could . And so I started taking photos of everything in sight ! At times a source of great irritation to friends and family . As a result of that I found that I had fallen in love a second time , this time with the beautiful country in which I lived . In trying to show it to my lass I had rediscovered it myself . I now find myself in exile in the state of Kansas in the good old Usa . And while it is indeed a lovely country it is also apparently topgraphically flatter than the proverbial pancake and as I say I do miss hills . And a few other things like good beer , an occasional full english breakfast and bonfire night . Oh and the weather of course ! Inspite of all those things of England which I miss I now find myself a happy exile , a proud husband and father to two great girls . |

I thought about the Wizard of Oz myself a time or two . In particular when the tornado warning siren went off for the first time . Thankfully the only time so far and a false alarm at that . I'm looking forward to visiting Colorado the first chance I get . Its near the top of a very long list ! |
