My Grandfather was born in Stoke Gabriel. Pop and his brother came to the states when he was about 20 years old. My Dad visited there in the 40's when he was on leave from the army. He kept in touch for many years. Sadly when you are a young girl you don't really care to much about where your family came from, but when you get older you realize how important it is to know where you came from. Oh I almost forgot the family name is Rowe. Blanche Marshel/nee Rowe and her husband George ran the inn that is in the pictures of Stoke Gabriel. My favourite: Pictures \| Towns \| Attractions
