My husband and i have been to Scotland and Ireland twice each and loved it so we have decided for our 25th anniversary this Sept. we will head to England for 8 days!! So excited the pictures look wonderful and i am sure do not do it justice so i cant wait to see for ourselves which is where i hope you guys will help us i have started planning and i am not sure of the area to stay in we will fly into Heathrow and stay in London for about 2 nights after that i am at a loss. So any help you all could give i would so be grateful for and i will start reading the forums also. Thanks and cant wait to talk wth you all,,,,,;-) Debbie |

I'm a native of Birmingham, born there and lived there until I was 28. I've been to England twice (once in May and once in September), both times flying into Heathrow, staying in London for 3 days, then hiring a car to head out into the countryside. We had gorgeous weather both times. Our primary target was the Cotswolds area (and North Wales one time), but if you don't mind driving over there, it's a wonderful way to see the beautiful countryside; and anywhere you go you won't be disappointed. We've enjoyed staying in B&Bs as well as hiring a self-catering cottage. You may have to throw darts at a map of England in order to decide where to go! I'm dying to go back again myself. Enjoy! |
