Welcome Eddie and good luck finding your old colleagues. I love bowls - I was taught by my great uncle Walter when I was a child. He spent hours playing bowls with me on the green in the middle of the caravan park in Berrow.

Made famous by no less than The Everley Bothers and GM's Corvette plant a friend toured and had a great time at; sadly, no pics allowed. Frown

Welcome to Poe, Eddie:) . Thanks for the explanation, Michael;  and me thinking that was a game for pensioners only Embarassed lol

hi Maria, no not only for pensioners lol, but because they are retired they have more time to spend playing the game. What better than to sit on a park bench on a sunny summers day with the smell of the English flora, the odd interuption of a bumble bee collecting nector, and the gentle sound of wood stricking wood in the centre of the bowling green? After all, you've been there and got the tea shirt lol, here is the quality of life.
