I live in Arizona, but we were in England about a year and a half ago and stayed at a holiday letting in the York suburb of Fulford. North Yorkshire is God's country for sure. I loved every minute of it and we drove the coast highway from Whitby to Scarborough, so maybe we passed you by on the road. lol You're right, POE (Pictures of England) is very informative and the people are the best!
