Hi everyone, my name is Lynda, I am 58 years old. I live and work in a fair size town of Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa (arrival point of the 1820 Settlers from Britain). I am new to this site, my initial attraction was the very beautiful photos I was looking at for inspiration for a painting. My historical ancestral roots are deep in British soil and I have visited England several times. Since doing genealogy research for my family tree I really have been introduced to the history of places and have taken an indepth internet journey that has now inspired me to paint scenes from the places of my ancestors, and to hopefully visit again soon, but with a different frame of mind and do a 'pilgrimage' tour of the places of my people. England is truly one of the most beautiful places on earth, with the most incredible amount of history. How fortunate you are to be living there and able to take all these beautiful photos. Keep up the wonderful work. I look forward to being even a small part of this POE community. I have already enjoyed reading some of the threads posted and look forward to reading more and communicating on some. Regards - Lynda

Hi Everyone, My name is Lynda, I am 58 and live and work in a city called Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, South Africa. PE is the centre of the motor industry in South Africa and also the arrival point & home to the 1820 British Settlers.Though I have travelled to England a few times, it has been my recent internet travels, inspired by my research into my historical ancestral British Roots that lead me to this site in search of pictures that I wanted as inspiration to paint the places of my ancestors. The photos are just beautiful!!!!!! England is truly just the most beautiful scenic and historical country. I look forward to being even a small part of this multifaceted website and POE family. I have read through some of the threads with interest, a smile here and there and wonderment in others. All in all sounds like a lovely 'family' to be a part of. Regards - Lynda
