Hi Alice,

As a confirmed 'Italianophile,' I welcome you to the website.

Ray.

 Ray,

Is "Italianopohile" a good thing?  Maybe I am just focused on the "opohile" portion!  Embarassed

philèo (this is its pronunciation) in old greek (I don't know if they use a different word now) means 'to love' so, it's good :)
thank you everybody, you're all so nice! and I love that you don't use text speak, I can understand it quite well in English, but it is unhelfull.
yes, I'm a bit worried about living on my own because I'll have so many things to do and so little time to do them, but I made a decision 5 years ago :)

Hi Donna,

Well focus on the 'Italian' bit then! Cool

Okay, I am focused now..and will move on from the slightly naughty side.  I love Italy also, my most favorite place is Taormina, stunningly gorgeous there.

Violet, Thank you, now I have learned something from you and all makes more sense.  Unfortunately, a word that has a beautiful meaning is more known here in the US for something not so nice.  I do appreciate that you explained it and now I have a better appreciation for the word.  Thank you, Donna

Hi Violet, welcome to Poe:).

I visited your town some life ago but I can still remember about the town walls and striking medieval buildings.

Hi Alice.  Welcome.  This would be a good site for you to practice your English, which, I might add, is very good.  Good luck!
