Its within walking distance of Windermere, but its a very steep hill. Fabulous though. Wasdale area is my favourite part of the lakes. Going over Wrynos Pass and Hardknott as well. I didn't think Skipton was too close to the lakes, but I would have kicked myself in the butt if it was and we didn't check them out whilst we were around Skipton.
