Hi,

Just joined POE and I am living in Stockholm, Sweden. My age has just reached 64. You might call me an Anglophile because I like so much about England. I and my wife have visited UK more the 100 times for business or pleasure. Criss crossed the country from Ambleside to S:t Ives to Robin Hoods Bay and lots in between. We import a lot of nice china from UK through my company and distribute to Swedish retail customers.

I am more a painter then a photographer even though I use the camera now and then as well. I am sometimes looking for "subjects" to paint when I came across POE. I were surprised to find such a lot of beautiful photos on one site with so much variety. Therfor, I thought I should join even if I do not got (yet) any great photos to share with you. Hope that is OK?

Best regards, Arne Tonnerich

Hi Arne, a very warm welcome to POE.  We have the very best people, photos and forums on the web as I am sure you will find out.

I am also a painter and when I have seen a photo that I think I would really love to paint I have asked the photographer if they would mind me using their photo.  Almost everyone has allowed me to do so, they are very generous with your talents.

The whole purpose of POE is to get photos of as many places in England as possible onto the site - they do not have to be works of art as they are recording and documenting England as it is, so if you have taken photos of England please do share them with us.

Enjoy the site!Smile
