Hi All

I am Kevin from Lincolnshire, And I am new to photography.

Got my Nikon given to me off my oldest son last year, but not used it much yet.

Just picking up Camara to have a go and see what I come up with

All the Best

Hi Kevin and a very warm welcome to the family of POE.

Well the first pic sent to POE is certainly not bad for a beginner. Are you sure you haven't done photography before? lol.  I look forward to seeing more results of your practising!

Hi Don and a warm welcome to the POE family.

If you have looked through the pictures on this site you will have seen we have some excellent photographers and I am sure they will be happy to help you.

Maybe you could pose some questions about your concerns with your photography so that would have something to answer?

Hi Guys and welcome to POE, in this digital age your results are instant,  so just go out and take photos of what appeals, if it's no good just delete and go again, the more you take the more you will become adept at using your camera and seeing what is there for the taking. Practice makes perfect. As Cathyml said we are a friendly bunch here and will help where possible.

Hi Kevin:  Nice to meet you.  Your first picture is of my favorite town in the whole world, Whitby.  Lovely photo too.  Good luck with your photography.

Hello and welcome to you too, Donald.  You can start your own intro thread if you'd like, and perhaps mention what kind of help your looking for.  Mind you, I'd not be the one to advise you about the finer points of photography.  I'm pretty clueless and strictly a point and shooter, at least for now.  But I'd say, just like anything else you have to learn, practice.  That's the beauty of digital.  It's cheap and easy to experiment with your camera.  Good luck.
