If you have looked through the pictures on this site you will have seen we have some excellent photographers and I am sure they will be happy to help you. You can start your own intro thread if you'd like, and perhaps mention what kind of help your looking for. Mind you, I'd not be the one to advise you about the finer points of photography. I'm pretty clueless and strictly a point and shooter, at least for now. But I'd say, just like anything else you have to learn, practice. That's the beauty of digital.
