Hey, this is Pictures Of England.com a really family friendly website and forum where we are all friends, where we care about each other, so do you really want us to call you as per your avatar name? Your decision of course, but you'll soon see that we are a really friendly bunch of people here. Either way, enjoy it! |

The POE website will help you greatly because you can search a town from the search box top left of the page and see what its like from your armchair. Good luck anyway! |

I had always understood that the towns in the North of England tended to be cheaper to live in than those of the South so I guess you will need to look around the Northern areas maybe elsewhere in Yorkshire. Just a suggestion! We have many members who really love Yorkshire! |

Being from Yorkshire I love it, and there are so many small market towns where you have everything close by or there are the villages which although very pretty can be quite isolated especially if you have children, but moving down from yorkshire there is Derbyshire and areas in the Peak District which are very similar to Yorkshire and then a little further are the Midlands, which has some lovely villages and towns .Any further down than that and the cost of living starts to go up. I now live in Staffordshire in a village with easy access to a market town which is surrounded by fields so the best of both worlds. Good Luck in your search, and maybe you could post some pics too. |
