Oak Hill of East Budleigh The main road through East Budleigh is steep in places. East Budleigh Railway Station The station was originally opened as Budleigh, on the Budleigh Salterton Railway (BSR), which branched from the Sidmouth Railway at Tipton St John. The station was renamed East Budleigh in 1898. The London and South Western Railway, which worked the BSR, did not name the station after the nearby village of Otterton to avoid confusion with its Otterham station on the North Cornwall line. East Budleigh Frogmore Lane A picture of a neglected cottage on Frogmore Lane, East Budleigh. It is covered in ivy and has crumbling facade. The clock in the centre (under the rainwater gutter) has been right twice every day, at 14 minutes to eleven! It has recently been sold at auction and may now be getting refurbished, unless it is demolished. East Budleigh cottages If travelling from Otterton, by taking Frogmore Lane, you will catch this view of East Budleigh cottages before getting to the cross roads to enter East Budleigh, or turn left to Budleigh Salterton, or turn right to Colaton Raleigh. East Budleigh grass hopper My family and I had walked up to Otterton Mill with Jedi, our dog. On the walk back we called in via East Budleigh and my daughter espied this little chap resting on the footpath grass as we were passing.
