Sunrise over Fiddlers Ferry, Cuerdley Cross.

I took this as the sun was rising, casting a vivid red light over the power station at Fiddlers Ferry. I put my longest lens on, and shot this from my study window in Gateacre, Liverpool some eight miles away. A rather lazy bit of work by me! Fiddlers Ferry is still powered by imported coal. There were many mines in this area, all now closed. I sometimes wonder how much coal remains in these old pits. Picture taken 19-01-2015.

Superb colours, well done. I like sunrise and sunsets, the best natural colours achievable. Striking picture.

It may be a lazy way to take a photo Rod, but it has certainly hit the spot. A cracking job

Seize the moment !! If you had bothered to go to another location this shot would have never been. NOT lazy Rod, it is seeing and capturing what is in front of you - and what a splendid job indeed.

Excellent opportunistic shot, the reddish light illuminating the steam really makes this shot stand out

You have made the most of this wonderful sight, trying to 'chase' these things usually leads to disappointment.
