Snowdrop fit to dazzle. River Mersey Ferry.

Today, 2nd April 2015 saw the Mersey ferry Snowdrop emerge in her new Dazzle livery inspired by the British WWI ideas designed to confuse the enemy. Sir Peter Blake, no stranger to casting his artistic genius here in Liverpool, designed his updated ideas of using the Dazzle ideas. Snowdrop looks very striking. The picture was taken from Seacombe, Wallasey, with Liverpool providing the backdrop. Picture taken at 1.35pm.

This is great Rod, stands out very nicely against the backdrop. Last time we were in Liverpool we saw a Dazzle ship near to the museum, my photos didn't turn out to well though, it was surrounded by fencing and not easy to get in the frame.

Super job Rod, like the contrast it creates with the historic Liverpool riverside

Talk about colour popping, well done sir. I heard half a report on the wireless not taking too much notice as I was running about in the shop at work. The shot however puts the story into perspective so thank very much Rod.

This ferry was featured on the BBC's 'North West Tonight' and I couldn't help thinking 'what a great opportunity for Rod Burkey'. You have not disappointed.

The new livery is certainly eye-catching against the almost monochrome background - all we need now is for a Yellow Submarine to join the Snowdrop. I hope they are playing Beatles music through the ship's Tannoy!

At first I wondered how you put a colourful boat into a monochrome scene. It stands out so much that it almost looks photoshopped.
