17,233 views so far and no word yet from Victoria to POE letting us know how things are going. Makes me think we are being used purely as a convenience as Victoria has only posted once, what a pity!

Let us hope she has been away on holiday and will post again soon.

I've never been there but I signed the petition the day of the first post. Lets hope Victoria has some news soon, otherwise I might be inclined to feel a bit 'used' which would be sad.

Quite true Ruth--i have noticed a lot of people who "join" to get their information and as soon as its given you never hear from them again.

20,737 views and nothing from Victoria. Maybe I can google it to find out what's going on, but with the power of POE behind them surely it has to say open doesn't it?

The Wroxton Village website says the pub is closed, but under new ownership and awaiting a decision it seems

Thanks for the update Ron, would have been nice if Victoria had come back to us with that information though. If you can take the time to ask for help it would good manners to say thank you when people do.

For some reason this thread was locked. I have no idea why, but new member Julian has written to me asking for it to be 'unlocked'.

So there it is Julian over to you!

Thanks Ron. I thought I would step in for Victoria (who I don't know) and give an update.

The update is that there is no news as yet. As far as I can see from the council's planning website, no planning application has yet been made, although clearly that is the intention. (Either that or it is too recent to have yet made it onto the website).

In the meantime, there has been coverage in the local press and radio, and the villagers have been attempting (sometimes clumsily, as here, unfortunately) to use 'social media' and such to raise awareness and opposition to the inevitable planning application.

If/when there is something more informative to post, I will be back!

FYI I live in the next-door village, but used to frequent the North Arms, and am very sad and disappointed to see it closed.
