The beers were expensive then (1995 ish) so how do they expect anybody to survive? Today Pub landlords are working for one person and one person alone, the taxman! They expect 42% profit (or did do) and no matter if you have waste or give a drink away, they still want their share. On top of that the supermarkets pile it high and sell it cheap so no contest. |
