I noticed last Summer was cold and rainy(from weather reports here in the US). In your experience was 2006 the hottest? how do you think it will be this Summer? We are thinking of going to the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July.

The reason a lot is said about 2006 is because temperatures soared to 100 degrees, the first time ever apparently. I presume this is a guess as the thermometer hasn't exactly been around since time began as far as I'm aware. Incidently, it was only 100 degrees for about 25 minutes, but there we are....that's half the length of time a summer usually lasts here. On a more serious note, you will thoroughly enjoy the Goodwood festival of speed, it's fabulous. Try to get somewhere near the famous 'Goodwood chicane' for the best action. (As you enter the airfield under the subway turn left and you'll see the chicane from there. Enjoy, Andy. (Weather forecast on written request). |

I wasn't here for the summer of '06 though, so I cannot be sure. Either way, just come on over, because our weather, like the posts on this forum, is unpredictable. |
