At the risk of revealing my ignorance, what is the difference between Oxford and Oxford City or is it as the names imply? |

I was referring to Rick's post as above Barbara because Oxford is a City as opposed to a Town. But this will clearly start discussion between some, because the meaning of City is 'A large Town' and when Anna goes shopping she rarely says I'm going to Oxford City but she does say I'm going down 'Town'. LOL. Thats it then, sorted! By the way the weather here today is cloudy, been raining, absolutely sluiced it down yesterday but good for the runner beans! Temperature I guess about 16c. |

Our first home football game is tonight (American football, the other, we call soccer!). My daughter is a cheerleader, varsity, so it should be a fun year. They won their first game in four years last week!! We're hoping for a decent season. I was hoping it would be cool tonight, cool weather seems to go with football season. |
