Prescott from Oxford Andy? Surely not, we would have drowned him long time since!

And Sue, Yes C. S. Lewis and ME! We are both from Oxford and both lived on Risinghurst Estate, just up from where you once worked in the hairdressers shop on the Roundway! See, I don't forget Sue!!

after wracking my brains I can only think of two people of note from Worcester though there are sure to be more....Mike O'Brien the cabinet minister and Mark Webster the ITV reporter....I was in the same class as both of them in Junior school and in Secondary.Embarassed

Oh dear Sue, I cannot believe you live in Worcester. Was that 2 Feb 2008 when you joined or when you were born.

Have you never heard of Sir Edward Elgar, England's greatest composer, Born, Lived and Died (Buried in the Cathedral) in Worcester.

George Bernard Shaw (writer), Nigel Mansell (driver), Stanley Baldwin (actor), Nigel Kennedy (violinist), King John (king), Michael Ball (singer)

They are just a few others of Worcester decent, and I don't even live in the City Cool

As for the others.....I have visited the tomb of King John many times, but he was buried in Worcester, he didn't come from here, Gerge Bernard Shaw was Irish wasn't he? Who is Stanley Baldwin??? Nigel Kennedy is from Malvern....I was trying to be as accurate as possible!  I had no idea about Nigel Mansell and Michael Ball....if they are from Worcester it's news to me!Embarassed
