The statue is dedicated to the King Vittorio Emanuele II......but after his last post to Yasser, I personally would make one for Ron too...

He was the first King of unified Italy (1860 or thereabout). But ask me no more than that pls because my history is somewhat lacking when it comes to our monarchy times :)

you have done very well to remember back to 1860. I sometimes forget what I read 10 minutes ago!

King of Italy 1860?  I didn't even know they had a king then!.

By the way, don't forget to look at the pictures of Lincoln, England.  I don't want you to get sidetracked!!

Hi Les, welcome to the POE website forum. I see you've been around a bit....as a member that is, so it's nice to see you and hear what you have to say in the forum. I suspect you have been following some of the threads, in which case you will know that despite the odd hiccup, we are all good friends and have great fun! On top of that we have some really great pics to look at.

The name 'Woods' is in my family, where are you from?

MG, thank you for that......at least somebody still loves me!! Or do you mean that you would like to see me encased in concrete, with my mouth firmly shut?

Andy, I didn't 'set up' the term legendary, it really was the quote after THIRD DAY - the American Rock Musicians did the C. S. Lewis Tour with me here in Oxford, UK. See www.cslewistours.com . Their travelling Pastor Nigel James first used it in blog referring to the tour and I chose thereafter to use it by way of the following link http://nigeljames.typepad.co.uk/nigels_notes/2007/05/a_truly_memorab.html as a rather nice compliment! Why do I feel I want to say na, na, nana, na YAndy?.....mate!!
