King of Italy 1860?  I didn't even know they had a king then!.

That's right. I think that, even though at different levels, the large majority of the European countries were monarchies in the 19th century, wasn't it?.

By the way, don't forget to look at the pictures of Lincoln, England.  I don't want you to get sidetracked!!

Sorry about that, I didn't forget the main title of this section. I saw that a few places outside England had been already mentioned and just thought I'd drop a quick link (being that less intruding than a picture).  Then a couple of questions came in and it wouldn't have been too nice to leave them unanswered.

No way to forget Les, I already checked all the 2,000 something Churches pictures on Poe !

Regards,

MG

Or do you mean that you would like to see me encased in concrete, with my mouth firmly shut?

LOL@Ron....of course not, you forget there is the rONote Control for that ;)....

MG, you say 'of course not, you forget there is the rONote Control for that'. Yes I had forgotten, but that may explain why I suddenly make involuntary movements! Walk in different directions and can't understand why or whats happening. Does the rONote Control really work from Italy, because if it does I am rather worried that you might turn the MUTE on!! If I suddenly go quiet y                                           , oh stop it n                         . I didn't do anything to y

Hi All,

Please see top of page at  http://www.picturesofengland.com/forum/General_England_Chat/1052/2

Ron, my branch of Woods (excuse the pun) apparently came originally to Leicester from Yorkshire (either Castleton or Castleford, I cannot remember which my Grandmother told me).

Keep smiling Laughing

Yours Les Woods of Lincoln (formerly of Leicester)

I know live in Australia but was born in Wirral, England. I lived between three little villages Heswall, Pensby, and the small village of Irby. There are not many photo's of these villages in POE so I am trying to rectify.

A long winding road in Lower Heswall, the area has remained unchanged for around 100 years.

Ooo, lovely, Wolf!  Are you planning a trip back to the old country or are you going to dispatch the family to load up pics of your old villages on POE?
