Hello Ruth, yes I for one am feeling very well today. I can't believe that all my problems/symptoms have just 'gone away'. I don't know if that's good or bad, but hope it's a good sign! Anna, well she's struggling a bit at the moment, but I help her where I can. Don't forget my C. S. Lewis broadcast to Oklahoma City on August 7th. It is intended to be a telephone link between the two of us at about 3pm our time! I suppose it could be recorded of course for later transmission to you guys, but we shall see!!

Ron~Not quite sure I am understanding you? Can you elaborate a but?

And Ruth~   I live in central NJ just outside of Princeton. I was born in north Jersey but settled here after getting married, long long ago. I know Boonton very well. My husbands brother lived up that way for a while.

I love NJ, Janice.  Especially the shore, we spent a lot of time at Cape May and Wildwood when I was a small girl.

Janice Mr Leg-End Brind meant Cambridge when he said "The C word".  By the way, he wants to be known as Leg End Ary in all future posts. He he he.

Sue~

I know what you mean about having to have your England fix. My home is full of things that were my moms and that I have aquired in my visits. And I have decorated as well in an English Country theme~we even have a conservatory that we built onto our very American split level home!!  The BBC is on constantly in our house...it drives my husband a vbit crazy from time to time.

I have found places here in NJ to buy English foods and even a few good places for "real" fish n chips. That is a real treat.

My Mom has been gone 11 years and I miss her more and more each day. But, she is alive in my heart by the the traditions I keep and even some of the foods I cook. I am always calling my aunt over in Cambs for advice on a certain dishes; and every Christmas we have Yorkshire pudding wuth our roast and Trifle for dessert!

I try my best to keep the spirit if England alive in my home. How nice to meet you!

Hi Janice nice to meet you.  Well even from my side of the world I feel the same, the only exception is that I will be moving to the UK at the end of the tear and can't wait to experience the history that awaits in the villages and the cities.  I have been a subscriber to 'This England' and 'Beautiful Britain' magazines and have marked many a place in my A - Z  road atlas to explore when we arrive.  Don't know where exactly we will settle at this point it depends on work. However, this website brings those magazines to life for me being able to chat and look up so much information and learn so much from others on the forums.  I have been to the UK twice totalling 5 months all up and each time I'm there it's a great feeling, I love driving from place to place and coming across the unknown villages and the many other places you come across during your travels - said before can't wait.....

As someone who grew up in the very village Ron now lives in (I didn't know him then) and therefore from Oxfordshire, I think I can help you here. The C word would be Cambridge. Oxford and Cambridge are rivals, so we don't mention them (a bit like England and France )

And of course Ron is only jesting with you.
