Peter, Peter, surely we offer more than just rain? We offer unhealthy food and 10 year old mums too. No seriously, if England inspires people like Krissy and Rick then it must have something going for it right?

You bet, Nick!  England, like everywhere else, has its good and bad points, but it's typically the people who live in a place who mostly notice the bad points, while the outsiders only see the good stuff, the exotic stuff, like you mentioned.  We always just want to be where we're not, I guess, but that gets you thinking about all the worse places in the world you could be living.  It's like I mentioned in your introductory thread, you have to make it a point to notice the good stuff, because it's definitely there.  And don't allow yourself to be pessimistic just because everybody else is.  Your country is very greatl.  I am an American and proud of it, but I think if I lived over there, I'd be just as proud.  A lot of wha't's right in the world today came out of England, you know.

Nice of you to say Ruth, and you would be one of the nicest things to come out of USA.

Why thank you, Wolf!  And I've spent a total of ten days of my life in England, and I'm a better thing for it too.  LOL!  Plus seven days in Ireland, didn't hurt either.  Australia's on my list though, one of these days.  What time is it there?  It's 8:26 PM Saturday the 19th here.

How did you like Ireland ? I have never been there but have a brother living in Limavady, Londonderry.

Ireland is awesome, Wolf!  We were in the west and south.  Three days in County Mayo and then drove down the west side thru Galway, Clare and Limerick and stayed in the Blackwater Valley in County Cork.  My people emigrated from Cork, Mayo and Cavan.  We also visited Lismore in the far west corner of County Waterford.  Like Enland, you're steeped in scenery and history.  I have friends who visit Ireland every other year.  They love the Ring of Kerry.  I think you need to go visit your brother.  Smile

We will probably always visit Ireland when we go to England.  Too long of a flight to not visit both countries as long as you're there.  Same for you I would imagine.
