Quickly getting back to topic Laughing The Norfolk and Suffolk aviation museum at Flixton is a great place to visit, loads of aircraft on display, allot of information and it's free admission.

That picture of you giggling Emma was perfect for that bit of mischief! Leave Mom-in-law alone you little monkey!!!

Lyn - nice to know you love trains - it's so associated with men. I love going on them too and taking pictures of them. Good job really been as I am in a household of 4 males - 3 of which adore trains (Aaron isn't as keen).

Mick - I love York Minster too but I was horrified on my last visit that the have made pay terminals all along and you can only go in the first few yards without having to pay a fortune and go through a supermarket checkout type entrance! That is not what visiting the House of God should be about - I know there is a huge upkeep but there are better ways of doing it! I walked straight out! We go to the railway museum when we can although it is quite a big journey for a day trip!

Thank you for the back up Stephanie, they talk about mother in laws from hell but never what we have to put up with from our daughter in laws.

I also love York Minster but haven’t been there for many years now, it was free entrance last time I went but like I say that really was years ago. I also love visiting Lincoln but was amazed last time I went that they charged us an entrance fee into the cathedral in a similar style as you described, like you did  I also wanted to walk out again but the people I was with wanted to go in so I had no choice but to pay. I have since heard that they received so many complaints they have now dropped the charge. Our cathedral here in Norwich is free to enter but a donation can be given if you wish which when not forced on me I am happy to do.
