That's my rant for today! |

Thanks Paul, what a good description of Brittish politics. BTW, I knew Sutch when I was in my teens. He spoke more truth than most members of Parliament. No it won't control all problems, but they have cars now with driving devices for "convicted" alcoholics where they have to take an "breath test" before the car will operate and if it's alchohol-laden, the car simply won't start. (Could it of saved Princess Di perhaps?) As for mom and pop and "old age" if they got "loaves and fishes" that takes food to them, we have public transportation that can do the same thing. People need jobs anyway over here. I agree that some permits and liscense requirements should not be such an hassel to get when it's dependent on your daily lifestyle. Most the illegal hispanics have been hitting our Driver Motor Vehicle Dept."stations" and getting our indentification out of them you know, so it's being counter-productive these days for an lot of things to have massive ID.requirements...you just help the thieves to be better informed...and an hassel if your ID is taken. They also abandoned electric cars they had been testing in the past also because of the fear of lack of revenue for the car industry as an whole, and they sell them now, but at such rediculous prices you have to be very well moneyed to afford one. Very few people can afford to constantly be buying an new car every other year if it's over $15,000 to begin with. I can remember when they use to be $3,000 brand new..and had more metal in them then now...were an larger veihcle and most often safer in some ways also. How much did it cost the "truckers"last week when I-5 shut down for flooding over the interstate, 4 million an day and the people of the state of Washington had voted in an 5 cent gas tax years ago to fix the problem and it was put aside because the Federal Government didn't match the funds with them as they said they would, so were did the money go? This is year two this flooding problem has happened...it was the fifth time in the last 10 years. As for the homeowners under water, they had best to heck be thinking of raising their foundations of the thier homes up at least 10 feet if the weather climate keeps up as they have been recently...and homeowner's insurance says it's not going to pay....you have to have special flood insurance before they will cover water damages..which in some cases can be as much as your monthly mortgage payments or more. Not good at all. People do not have true livabilty, because our people we have for leadership, isn't making it possible. |

Enough to keep us all talking for 12 months or more! Wow, and we think we have it rough here, well err we HAVE got it rough here, but different!! And a car that can hover at the touch of a button, a dream car for all ladies! Alright......I'm only joking! |
