Almost forgot the purpose of this thread. I was in England for Christmas a number of years ago. I stayed in London (ahhh, Harrods at Christmas) which was nice. I saw all of the traditional sites and it was fun to see the Christmas trees decorated in Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace and such. I was thinking of going to Edinburgh as a central base and they go around Scotland which I love. The only thing is the weather for driving but can also drive to Edinburgh and take the train to all the other places. I love the pub next to where Greyfriars Bobby is buried to have my lunch and coffee. Love the story of the old shepard and his dog. |
