the last five yrs i have been in birmingham at xmas i suppose we will be there again this yr,there is only the two of us at home now so we have dinner at 2pm xmas day after a visit to the sons then its all systems go.

i enjoy seeing the wife in the kitchen she loves that cooker i bought her she gets stuck in and never complains --bless her-- i do all the dishes and pans while she sits there with her tin of quality street and a glass of orange juice watching coronation st."what a life she has" lol

then at 10am boxing day we take off for brum for about 5 days. thats about it.

Hmmmm....that's an interesting question.  I'd go to Cambridge and see about getting in the queue for the "Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols" at Kings College Chapel on Christmas Eve.   After that, I'd want to drive around the countryside and see what towns and villages have for their decorations.  And possibly attend a Christmas service in one of the cathedrals and/or abbeys.

I'd love to do that right now!

We've had five consecutive days of lake-effect snow here in Syracuse, New York, this week--and it's not even 'officially' winter yet!   I hope you all in the UK are doing better with your snow and ice...
