What day did Independence actually happen? From my understanding, the delegates from New York were dragging their heels and took their time beng convinced to sign up with the rest of their Colonial friends to make the big break away from England. None the less, they got there in the end, then they were all happy . At least they didn't get stuck with the Hair Powder Tax ! |
