Now I get it, Wolf, I think.  Most of the Australian I heard was from Paul Hogan.

Navigating through this thread I feel we all deserve a slap on the back for good behaviour and (in some cases) keeping to the rule, collectively I would like to say, “Well done son”

Now tell me Ruth, who is Paul Hogan?

Not a film man Lyn, I sort of knew the name but it meant nothing to me. Films today seem to be all about effects or violence, the good old story line along with good acting has taken a back seat. And before anyone wants to put the knife in, yes, off course there are brilliant films, well acted with excellent story lines but they seem to be few and far between.

Notwithstanding the somewhat mediocre acting, Mick, the first Crocodile Dundee movie was pretty good.  And it isn't new, I think it's from the mid or late 80's.  Part of it was filmed in the Australian bush - beautiful scenery.  I don't think it was nominated for any awards or anything, but it had a couple of sequels and in the U.S., Paul Hogan became kind of an unofficial Australian spokesman.
